Well, how did I get here? It’s been a long and winding road. Can you tell I’m a music lover? I also play ukulele, badly. It’s a process. I love music, art, design, literature, photography, videography… Basically, if you can make something beautiful or expressive out of it, I’m interested. I’m what you might call a dabbler.
In my youth, I went the professional way of so many who chose the practical route rather than the one that touches the heart. I was good at my job and didn’t suffer. The money was good. Unfortunately, while my work life was challenging, it also wasn’t very fulfilling. Additionally, there was no time for all the fun artsy stuff that I love. Eventually, with age comes a breaking point. Mine occurred sometime around the end of 2014, and I was fortunate enough to heed the call of “take this job and shove it”. Since then, Ive been improving my artistic skills and have been working on building the courage to share my art and maybe make a living with it. I still haven’t discovered my artistic “style”. Probably because I find it impossible to stick with one artistic discipline. I’ve tried, believe me, but the boredom took all the joy out of it. And, what’s the point in that? I guess what I really am is an explorer. I’m on a happy journey towards being the best artist and the best me I can be. If you like my work, rest assured that years of exploration and process went into making it.
I hope you are on your own happy journey.
Wishing comfort and joy always to you and yours.
